To Catch Up

This is just a quick picture summary of what has been going on around here. I have been pretty busy lately. It seems that I am constantly waiting for one thing to be done just so that I and get back to the first thing that I wanted to do or so that I can move on the to the next thing that needs to be done. You caught all that rambling right?

October 30th
6:30PM
Trunk-or-Treat
Local Ward building
Due to the amount of rain and wind that night the kids got to trick or treat inside around the circular hallway. I thought it was a blast. For some reason I did not get any pictures of that night so these are curiosity of my mother.

October 31st
Local Meijer 5:30ish PM
My mother and I took the kids trick or treating at a near by Farmer's Market, we were there most of the day. Later we picked up John for something to eat and a little shopping. We did not go out to traditionally trick or treat because it was cold, rainy, and just plain yucky outside. The kids really were not to disappointed, since we had just had 2 days of trick or treating. I caught this picture of B on the 1 cent pony ride. She is starting to look like a little girl instead of a baby.

November 11th
Evening time (6:30PM)
A large local convention center.
My mom has her pinning and capping as part of her graduation from nursing school. After the official ceremony is over we all go out to party at a scrumptious pizzeria. My mom here with her friend Heidi and B. We (her family) are very proud of her.

November 19th
Late evening time.
I finish these bracelets for my sister and myself. They are Twilight theme and of my own design. The missing charm in the middle is where the "crystal heart" will go, when I can find one. The picture isn't that great but the other charms are a wolf and an apple. I was thinking of adding a truck (for Bella) and a chess piece and a red ribbon tide on the clasp. If you don't understand why I would add these, then you are out of the loop and need to read the books! They are just a fraction different from each other and mine is a tad smaller. I want to know what you think. More pictures of these later as I add the other elements.

November 20th
12:45 PM
Seated and ready for the film to start already!

It was soooooooo good. Way better then Twilight was. I can't wait to go back when it hits the dollar theater. I may go two or three times!!

After the film we went and helped my mom pack as they moved the next day (November 21st).

Some where in there I also got a new stove. Apparently, the oven didn't like the grape juice incident and refused to work thereafter. It was so old that it was cheaper to buy a new on then to replace it. It was delivered and it didn't work quite right but it was under warranty and has now been repaired and it working quite nicely!

Skating Fun

Since there was no school today (Fall Brake) and the Scout Master doesn't work on Fridays we decided to take the kids to a school's out skate. We skated for a little over 2 hours and had the best time. We were the only family there and besides us there were only a few other kids. We all skated. Yes, The Scout Master and I included. It wore us out!

You can hardly see but this is B skating along.

B won the Limbo contest!

Emma and Kyle won a game too.

What fun we had! The kids love to skate and the best part about today is that this is the skating rink that I used to frequent when I was Emma's age. It looked just the same. They really need new carpet though! It brought back good memories of me skating to the Super Bowl Shuffle while the played the video on the wall. The Fridge! I had to smile about that!

Zoo Boo

We had a pretty busy day today. This morning we went to Civil War Days at the local library. We were only there for the last hour or so because of a bad experience at Cracker Barrel. But anyway, we had a good time and made button spinners and service medals. We were read the book Dadblamed Union Army Cow which amazingly enough is based on real life events. The kids enjoyed it but unfortunately, even with 5 entries in the drawing, we did not win the book.

Later that night we went to ZOO BOO. It was a very fun time. Businesses set up decorated canopies all through the zoo and pass out coupons and candies to our little trick or treaters. This year with all that has been going on we didn't have the time to make new costumes and I didn't really feel like going out to purchase new ones either....so we dug some out of the dress up box from years past and went as what we had.

Emma was the Snow Queen
Kyle was Buzz Light year
B was a bumble bee (we got her a costume 40% off at Cracker Barrel)

Amazingly enough, this year these costumes actually fit. When in past years they had to be pinned and rolled to make them fit!

Here they are at Zoo Boo

This is what B did the entire time we were there.
Fear not, The Scout Master and I held her bag open at
each candy opportunity.

It has been a long day for us all. Good Night!

Fall Party

Today was Emma's fall party at school. Kyle has been sick for the past three days (with what could be H1N1, just super mild) and so he missed his first class party of the year. I volunteered to help in Emma's class this time and was asked to come up with a craft for the kids to do. We made Chocolate bars into mummies by wrapping them in white crepe paper streamers and gluing on googly eyes. Then we made them a little cone hanger to "sleep" in that they could hang on their doors. Since I was busy helping this is the only picture of the party that I was able to take.

Monday, Monday

This morning I took of with my friend and neighbor to go and pick some more grapes. I have never picked grapes. But it was one of the best things ever. The vineyard was so beautiful and the grapes where hanging there so lovely and it smelled so fresh and yummy. I loved it. Now you may be thinking why did I do this after the mess that happened to me last Thursday. Well, I felt really accomplished with all that juice under my belt and I wanted to do it again. I fill up my laundry basket and a few more pails for friends and then came home and got Kyle off to school. Then I drove over to my grandmother's house and went down in her basement where I found about 12 dozen boxed quart jars. I brought them all home, washed them and then used some too. There is about a dozen that had brakes in the mouth, but we can use those for an activity at church next month. There is probably about 4 more dozen down in her basement but I don't have any more room for them.

Whenever I am around this friend I feel like I get more done in a day then one person ever could. It's always a fun and learning experience. Here's to a good day and more grape juice! I canned about 32 quarts in all. That's almost enough for us to drink 3 quarts a month for a whole year! Can't wait 'til next year!

Primary Program & the Park

Today at church was the Primary Program that is where all the kids ages 3-11 in our church get up on the stand and give a program. This year's theme was My Eternal Family. It was so very good. I felt the Spirit so much. I could not see Kyle at all (he was behind the organ) but I could see Emma's head and I could hear them sing. They did a lovely job and Kyle had to go to the rest room in the middle. Emma and Kyle both said their lines perfectly.

Later in the afternoon, the Scout Master and I took the kids to a nearby park. The pay area is tiny but they have lots of nice trails to hike and a couple of very nice look outs. With the fall colors and the sun shining off the creek, we had something lovely to look at. Heavenly Father is so nice to let us have beautiful scenery to look at and remind us of him while we are here on Earth.

Kyle flying.

Emma twirling.

Bee swinging.

And swinging some more.

She really loved the swing. She wouldn't have me push her, it had to be daddy. She laughed and giggled to her hearts content. It's all she did the whole time we were there. It made me smile, laugh and giggle right along with her. Such a nice afternoon.

I just loved these berries hanging from a nearby tree.
I had to take a picture.

I pray you had a wonderful Sunday as well.
