War What is It Good For?

Reenacting of course! So we spent another of our Saturdays going to look around a reenacting site. We thought it was a Civil War reenactment but it turned out to be several at the same time. There was 1812 through WWII. We watched an 1812 battle and looked at the different encampments. Emma got a shawl, which she was very excited about. This encampment took place at an air port which also has a war memorial. I found this every interesting and we took a long while looking around and we even found a plaque dedicated to the animals that were trained to help fight in these wars. Including dolphins, which I did not know had been involved in war. Very interesting stuff. You learn something every day!

Here is the Scout Master with 2 of the kids.
